Educate A Child (EAC), a global programme of Education Above All (EAA) has today received a contribution from Industries Qatar (IQ) during a donation handover ceremony which took place at IQ’s headquarters in Doha, Qatar. IQ joins the local and international donors who support EAA’s educational programmes worldwide, which include Educate A Child, Al Fakhoora and the Protecting Education in Insecurity and Conflict (PEIC) programme.

Commenting on the partnership with IQ, Fahad Al Sulaiti, Deputy CEO at EAA, said: “We are grateful to Industries Qatar for their generous donation, which will contribute to Educate A Child’s mission to bring quality primary education to children around the world. The support of yet another Qatari organization is testament to the national commitment to contribute to human, social and economic development, as is reflected in the Qatar National Vision 2030.”

Abdulrahman Ahmad Al Shaibi, Chief Coordinator at Industries Qatar, added: As we are strengthening our Corporate Social Responsibility at Industries Qatar, we are happy to enter into this initiative, and aim to further promote our partnership with Educate A Child. This charitable program presents opportunities to many children around the world with a chance of a strong education; a mission which Industries Qatar is proud to be contributing towards its achievement.”

About Education Above All and Educate A Child

Education Above All (EAA) is a global initiative founded by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser. EAA’s aim is to build a global movement that contributes to human, social and economic development through quality education and other welfare programmes and initiatives. With a particular focus on areas affected by poverty, conflict and disaster, EAA champions the needs of children and youth and empowers them to be active members of their communities. EAA is the umbrella organisation for Educate A Child (EAC), Protecting Education in Insecurity and Conflict (PEIC) and Al Fakhoora.

Launched in 2012, EAC aims to trigger significant breakthroughs in providing quality primary education to the 58 million children who currently have no access to schooling. By meeting the demand for education, EAC equips these children to support sustainable development and to nurture environments of peace, security, justice and prosperity.
