Doha Marketing Services Company W.L.L. (DOMASCO) announced the launch of the New 2015 Honda Accord sedan at a press event held at the main Honda showroom in Doha.

The New 2015 Accord, the most dynamic intelligent sedan in its category, is composed of an exhilarating efficient package in line with Honda’s philosophy of ‘man maximum machine minimum.’

New 2015 Model Year Accord has undergone significant enhancements from its 2013/14 predecessor. All New 2015 Accord boasts of Luxurious Modern Interior combined with a sophisticated, linear and sporty exterior. It offers a 6 grade line up with a direct-injection 2.4 liter i-VTEC engine with CVT transmission and the 3.5 liter i-VTEC engine with a 6-speed Automatic Transmission for the L4 and the V6 grades respectively.

Exterior Styling:

The 2015 Accord reflects its status as a dynamic, intelligent sedan with deeply sculpted sharp character lines in the exterior. The vehicle is equipped with a bold chrome grille to enhance the expressive character of the car keeping the local taste in mind. All grades are equipped with daytime running lights and LED brake lights. LED headlights for the V6 Sports grade adds to the sophistication of the modern sedan.Amongst the key improvements, the rear is equipped with Bumper Integrated Chrome Twin Silencer which enhances exterior aesthetics.Other note worthy exterior features include Honda LaneWatch^TM in the right side door mirror on all V6 grades, flushed rear parking sensors on EX grades and above, alloy wheels as standard.

Interior

The 2015 Accord exudes luxury coupled with comfortable interiors with world class cabin space. The refined cockpit of the sedan focuses on an advanced and intuitive driving interface with the full 8-inch color Intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID) that offers simple access to a wide range of important functions. New to the 2015 Accord is the Electric Parking Break which enhances convenience for the driver. The cabin space is generous and offers outstanding leg room, front and rear shoulder room, front and rear ACs, futuristic LED map and rear reading lights with a rear power sunshade adding to extra comfort for rear passengers in hot summer months.

Powertrain

A new addition to 2015 Accord is advanced Earth Dreams Technology powertrains. In combination with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), the Direct-Injection 2.4 liter i-VTEC engine offers satisfying torque of 25.0 kg-m @ 3900rpm and a horsepower of 185 @ 6400rpm which is 8% higher versus 2013/14 MY Accord 4 cylinder sedan. The 3.5 liter i-VTEC joins forces with a 6-speed automatic transmission generating 274hp @ 6200rpm and a torque of 34.5 kg-m @ 4900rpm. Updated suspension tuning further enhances handling and ride comfort.

Body and Safety

The 2015 Accord Sedan Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) II body is designed to enhance occupant protection while mitigating damage to other vehicles. The Accord boasts of Honda active-safety features such as the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) which enhances handling stability and predictability especially in poor traction conditions in addition to Anti-Lock Brake Systems (ABS), Electronic Brake Distributor (EBD) and Hill Start Assist.

The passive-safety features include Front Dual SRS airbag system (Dr. and Assist), front side airbag system, side curtain airbags and 3-point ELR seatbelts for 5 passengers.
