On Thursday evening, shoppers and guests at Doha Festival City were surprised and delighted by the destination’s first anniversary celebrations that included an explosive cake cutting ceremony. The confetti cake, which stood at three meters high, cast confetti sparkles over the audience in its centre court. To say thank you, customers also received surprise gifts from VOX cinema, Toys R Us and Borders during the weekend.
As part of the first year anniversary celebrations, Doha Festival City is set to host a special concert in honour on 10th May. The concert will be headlined by a star performer set to be announced in the coming weeks.
May Marzooq, Senior Marketing Manager of Doha Festival City Mall said, “Following a hugely positive first year which has included 375 successful openings, the launch of our outdoor leisure trail and numerous events for our visitors, we wanted to celebrate by giving back to the community, through our first ‘shop and win’ campaign.”
