The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has closed down the main showroom of an automobile distributor at the Al Sadd area for one month for violating norms. According to a release issued by the ministry, the administrative step was taken after inspectors found that the distributor was selling cars that had been repaired and repainted due to some accidents as new ones, without informing customers about this. The showroom was closed for one month with a notice indicating the violation posted on the door.
Besides, the name of the violator and the details of the violation will be posted at the ministry website and the said distributor has to publish the closure news in at least two local dailies at its own cost, the release added.
