Qatar Tourism has launched its first edition of a biannual guidebook titled 'Qatar Now', which is a comprehensive country guide of the State of Qatar as a destination, and highlights the country's tourism offers through a range of activities and tour programs, with the aim of giving visitors a comprehensive view of the country.
The first edition of the guidebook has been published in English, while the Arabic version will be published soon. The guidebook will be available at hotels, Hamad International Airport (HIA), museums, and other visitor-facing locations, as well as embassies.
The guidebook is a result of Qatar Tourism's efforts to celebrate the country's cultural identity and heritage, and highlight it through the tourism experiences it offers, as part of Qatar Tourism's strategy to increase the number of visitors to six million visitors annually by 2030.
In this regard, HE Chairperson of Qatar Tourism and Group Chief Executive of Qatar Airways Akbar Al Baker said that by publishing the 'Qatar Now' guidebook, the State of Qatar is welcoming the world, as it coincides with the country's preparedness to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
"Travelers visiting for the highly anticipated event or those passing through our award-winning hub, Hamad International Airport, can now discover our abundant city through the inspiring pages," His Excellency added, adding that the guidebook emphasizes the richness of the destination and the breadth of the country's offerings.
