In the lead up to Qatar hosting the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™, Qatar Museums has announced extended timings for all museums, galleries, shops, cafés and restaurants within its network for the duration of the tournament. Revised timings for the National Museum of Qatar, Qatar Museums Gallery, Al Riwaq, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, Fire Station: Artist in Residence are as follows: Operating: from Sunday, 28 November to Saturday, 18 December inclusive will be from 10am to 8pm (Saturday to Thursday) and 1.30 pm to 8 pm on Fridays. Please note that Mathaf will be closed to the public on 3 and 10 December. Visit the Qatar Museums website for the latest information on revised opening timings.

During the FIFA Arab Cup 2021, visitors can explore the National Museum of Qatar's permanent galleries and Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection as well as the recently unveiled Kader Attia: On Silence exhibition. Striking murals and art installations that make up Qatar's thriving public art scene can be found in locations across Doha, including murals in and around the Al Sadd Metro Station as part of the POW! WOW! global mural festival. Additionally, Qatar Museums will be presenting exceptional exhibitions by renowned international artists, including Virgil Abloh: Figures of Speech at the Fire Station, Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams at M7 in Msheireb Downtown Doha, and Jeff Koons: Lost in America at Qatar Museums Gallery, Al Riwaq. Visitors are reminded to purchase tickets online in advance of their visit.

Due to anticipated road closures and traffic congestion around Doha, visitors are advised to use public transportation to Qatar Museums’ venues and events.

Mowasalat will be running a special service along the Corniche from 26 November to 18 December. Visitors can take the Corniche loop Southbound to MIA Park, Al Riwaq and NMoQ, or the B-ring road loop to M7, Fire Station, MIA Park, Al Riwaq and NMoQ.

The nearest metro station to NMoQ, Al Riwaq and MIA Park is the National Museum of Qatar. The nearest metro station to Fire Station is Al Bidda. The nearest metro station to M7 is Msheireb.
