The "Portrait" exhibition is a combined effort between the Qatari artist Ebtesam Al Saffar who joined hands with Indian artist Surabhi Gaikwad to come up with this exhibition that is part of the Qatari-Indian cultural year.

The exhibition consists of 32 paintings, 14 of which belong to Al Saffar, and the rest to Surabhi Gaikwad.

As for the secret in focusing on the faces in her paintings, Al Saffar told QNA that these faces are not free of poeticism, the face is the behavioral performance, it is life and thoughts, and everything in it combines the inside and the outside. Therefore, the face is the center of human life, and the center of his emotions and desires and temperament and behavior.

For her part, Indian Artist Surabhi Gaikwad said about the faces in her paintings, that some of them are realistic, while some of the other faces are imaginary, noting that while she was living in Qatar, she was influenced by the culture and heritage of the country, which has influenced her fashion business, or the falcon drawing, which is a heritage icon in the country.
