As Qatar Museums (QM) launches two new exhibitions as part of the Qatar Germany 2017 Year of Culture this week, it’s also introducing new visiting hours — now open seven days a week!

Museums that fall under QM’s patronage are the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), QM Gallery Al Riwaq, QM Gallery Katara, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, National Museum of Qatar, Doha Fire Station, 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, and the Orientalist Museum.

The two new exhibitions opening this week are Driven by German Design, opening in QM Gallery Al Riwaq in close partnership with the Volkswagen Group, and German Encounters – Contemporary Masterworks from the Deutsche Bank Collection, opening at Doha Fire Station, Garage Gallery, which will showcase a selection of artworks from the Deutsche Bank Collection – one of the world's most important corporate collections of contemporary art.

Be sure to also check out the Museum of Islamic Art Park Bazaar, which is also starting its new season this Friday — a clear sign that Doha’s weather is cooling down. There will be a huge number of stalls this year and a diverse selection of foods, clothing, art, and more!

You can also now rent a bike at the Museum of Islamic Art.
