The fourth cruise of Fath Al Khair is launched with 16 Qatari sailors on board from Babik harbour in Istanbul, visiting 11 different harbors across Europe and North Africa, with the aim of introducing the original Qatari maritime heritage and promoting the FIFA 2022 World Cup.
Organised by the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara, the cruise aims to raise awareness on the Qatari heritage, especially the maritime culture noting that it is a significant part of the Qatari identity. It also aims to promote for Qatars hosting for the World Cup 2022 and presents its preparations for that event.
The Captain of Fath Al Khair cruise Yousef Mohammed Al Sada said that the cruise will be a museum reflecting the authenticity of the Qatari marine heritage, noting that it will be equipped with huge screens showing the facilities and sports venues that will host the FIFA 2022 World Cup.
The sailors will also distribute brochures and gifts to the public and explain all about Qatar to reach-out to the people of the countries the cruise will pass through.
