The Cultural Village Foundation Katara announced the launch of "Katara Caricature competition" to enhance the role and mission of Caricature art as a medium of expression.

General Manager of Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, the award stems from the permanent interest of Katara to provide addition to the Arab cultural and artistic scene, stressing that the Foundation plays a vital role in revitalizing Arab culture through its various activities, and that the award works to discover and encourage new talents in addition to consolidating the presence of distinguished Arab Caricature globally.

As "Katara" seeks to be a center and a platform for revitalizing the Arab caricature movement, due to its firm belief in the importance of this art and its distinction, especially that this art is one of the ancient arts that accompanied the transformations that societies knew at all levels.

The drawings submitted are required to have been specifically executed for the award, and must not have been previously published in the media, social media or websites, and the participating painters must be over the age of 18, each of whom is entitled to participate in three works as original hand drawings, not digital drawings, and the text should be written in Arabic, It is allowed to present drawings in color or black and white, with the painter placing his signature in the drawings.
