The celebrations started with tributes to those who fought and made the supreme sacrifice for the freedom of our country and reminding us of our duties towards our country, followed by singing of India's National Anthem. Hapreet, Co-admin of IMF Group welcomed the gathering. The women of IMF performed the Indian Classical Dance showcasing our rich culture and tradition. The celebration was packed with set of events that followed throughout evening including Patriotic Poems remembering the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, Shayaris, Standup comedy show to bring on some laugh, special dance from the kids and group dance performances by the talented members of IMF Group.

Large number of group members attended the celebrations flaunting the outfits displaying the colours of the Indian flag that reminded us of the freedom of great importance, reverence and pride for all as Indians.

Ankit Agarwal, Admin of IMF group shared that it’s a proud feeling to celebrate Indian Independence day outside our Country with our Indian community with Joy and Happiness. All coming together shows that we are united in spite of living in Qatar although away from our Motherland India.

The celebrations concluded with the lavish buffet dinner organized and acknowledging the efforts and participation of members who performed to make this day an eventful and finally as closing of celebrations with the Vote of Thanks from Admins of group.

Lastly, as good citizens the urge is to keep up the good reputation of us as Indians in Qatar and continue building up the excellent relationship and contribute to both the economy in every possible way.
