Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) marked this year’s Qatar National Day (QND) on Saturday by hosting QND activities for all community members to enjoy, including lively parasailing performances by the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), that left Aspire Park’s skyline bright with Qatar’s Maroon and White colours.

Lekhwiya also put on outstanding horses and police dogs shows, demonstrating various horse formations, and how trained police dogs react to various threatening situations, such as how to stop a thief, stop a kidnapper, sniff drugs or expose bomb threats.

On the sidelines, AZF also organised group activities for children including basketball, football and a tug-of-war. A large number of community members flocked to see and take part in the various activities making this year’s QND event a huge success.

‘Dari Qatar’ Film on show in Aspire Park on Sunday evening

AZF will continue its QND celebrations by collaborating with the Doha Film Institute (DFI) to display the ‘Dari Qatar’ Film at 5:15 pm on Sunday evening, at Aspire Park. After the movie, the DFI will choose the top five winners in the ‘short film’ competition that was launched earlier this month, where participants were asked to create films inspired by speeches from HH the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
