Islamic Museum gets valuable book
A valuable book was donated to the Museum of Islamic Art by Dr Bakr M Nour, a US citizen from Egypt who lives and works in Qatar. The book is a handwritten manuscript believed to be around 450 years old. Titled Al Shifaa Fi Akhbar Al Mostafa, the book has each page ornamented with a gold leaf frame, with an additional gold Islamic relief in the facing page.
