Man gets 15-yr jail term for murder
A Doha court has sentenced an Asian man to 15 years’ imprisonment and subsequent deportation following his conviction of premeditated murder of his two colleagues. He gunned them down because he believed they were framing him for getting a housemaid pregnant.

Fishing boats, yachts to require electronic tags
Fishing boats and private yachts will soon be required to install electronic identification equipment on board for the Coast Guards to identify them. For this purpose, new laws will be framed and the existing legislation regulating the entry and operation of fishing boats and yachts in Qatar’s territorial waters will be amended to conform to relevant international regulations.

11 face trial over fake currency
Eleven Arab nationals are undergoing trial for bringing fake Qatari currency notes into the country and trying to circulate them in the local market. The prosecution has accused five of them of smuggling the fake notes and one of them of trying to put them into circulation.
