An innovative Sleep Lounge concept just opened in the heart of Hamad International Airport (HIA). Passengers transiting through the airport or wanting to rest for a few hours before the flight can now unwind, relax or take a nap at the new Sleep Lounge by sleep 'n fly. The new concept is Airport Dimensions' first non-traditional lounge in Qatar's five-star airport and its first premium lounge offer in the Middle East.

What is Sleep Lounge?

As sleep 'n fly puts it, the Sleep Lounge concept is a mix of a hotel and an airport lounge where for those looking to recharge during a long layover or enjoy a quick nap before an early morning flight. The sleep lounge pioneers and innovators' portfolio includes a mix of Sleep Pods and/or Cabins, depending on the location.

The sleep ’n fly lounge at Hamad International Airport is open to walk-in and corporate guests, online pre-bookings, Priority Pass members, and LoungeKey users.

Where is the new Sleep Lounge located?

You won't miss the Sleep Lounge because it's just a few minutes' walk from the iconic Lamp Bear. sleep 'n fly at Hamad International Airport represents an oasis of relaxation in the very center of the duty-free and transit area.

What can you expect?

The 225 square meter lounge features a selection of sleep pods and cabins with accommodation for up to 50 guests. It operates 24x7 with a multilingual team of hospitality and housekeeping staff. Visitors can pay by the hour to stay at one of the sleep units, which provide a soundproof and air-conditioned space to relax and rest ahead of or between flights.

The Sleep Lounge features state-of-the-art FlexiSuite Pods for single travelers, YAWN Double Cabins for double or single-use, as well as YAWN Bunk Cabins for those guests traveling together but seeking extra privacy, with a total capacity of 50 adult guests and four children up to the age of seven. Complimentary branded merchandise including pillows and blankets will be available to visitors during their stay.

FlexiSuite Pods (24 available):

Launched at Hamad International Airport, this 180° flat-bed reclining seat in a soundproof space represents a world first in sleeping pod design. It features dimmable ambient lighting, a reading light, air conditioning, a 32-inch screen to connect to the travelers’ mobile, tablet or laptop, a folding tray table, cup holders, a small waste bin, baggage storage, a large mirror, and compartments to store coats, shoes, and laptop.

The FlexiSuite Pods resemble a first-class airline suite with its 90°-180° seat to flat-bed with individually controlled back and footrests connecting with a fixed ottoman seat and a 200x70 cm leather surface area for a comfortable rest.

Sleep Cabins (13 available):

Four double bed cabins with an optional pull-out bed for a child of up to 115 cm in height (maximum 2 adults and 1 child), and nine bunk bed cabins are available. These small but stylishly designed spaces are soundproof and have air conditioning, as well as main, ambient, and reading lights, an alarm clock, a coat hanger, carry-on baggage storage, a full-size mirror, bedside table, and a fold-down table. Cabins are also provided with a comfortable mattress, cozy bed line made of 100% cotton and vibrant teal pillowcases.

YAWN Bunk Cabins are only three square meters but packed with features, simple Scandinavian design, and a single size bunk bed.

YAWN Cabin is a bit bigger in size at 4 square meters and comes with a double bed. For families, they can use the pull-out mattress drawer under the bed for their child to sleep on.

COVID-19 precautionary measures

Sleep ’n fly is taking all necessary steps to ensure their guests feel safe and well whilst relaxing in their own personal space ahead of their flight. All sleep ’n fly sleep lounges, sleep pods, and cabins are thoroughly disinfected after every guest check-out, and any public touchpoints such as reception counters and payment terminals are disinfected after each use. Sleep 'n fly Sleep Lounge details

Airport Dimensions is a leading provider of lounge services and was previously known as Airport Lounge Development. It announced its acquisition of OnGround Hospitality and the sleep lounge brand sleep ’n fly last July 2020.

HIA is classified as a five-star airport by SKYTRAX and currently holds the titles ‘Third Best Airport in the World’, ‘Best Airport in the Middle East’, and ‘Best Staff Service in the Middle East’ at the SKYTRAX World Airport Awards 2020.
