Qatar national football team to play Luxembourg in 2022 FIFA World Cup 2022 European qualifiers (QFA)

Qatari national football team continued their intensified training for their matches in UEFA's FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying campaign. Qatar's team will kick off their participation with a match against Luxembourg on March 24. The second match will be against Azerbaijan on March 27. The team's matches in the first round will conclude with a match against their Irish counterpart on March 30.

The Qatari team had travelled on Friday to the Hungarian city of Debrecen on a special plane. The Asian champions will join Group A - alongside UEFA Euro 2016 winners Portugal, Serbia, Republic of Ireland, Luxembourg, and Azerbaijan.

The Squad includes Pedro Miguel, Salem Al Hajri, Tariq Salman, Abdel-Karim Hassan, Boualam Khokhi, Hassan Al Haydos, Youssef Abdel-Razzaq, Ahmed Suhail, Musab Khader and Muhammad Waad (Al Sadd). Salah Zakaria, Bassam Al Rawi, Asim Madibu, Muiz Ali, Karim Boudiaf, Ismail Muhammad, Muhammad Muntari, and Abdullah Abd al-Salam (Al Duhail). Ahmed Ala Al Din, Humam Al Amin, Muayyad Hassan and Tamim Al Muhaizeh (Al Gharafa) Ahmed Fathi and Mahmoud Abu Nada (Al Arabi) Abdul Aziz Hatem (Al Rayyan) Khaled Munir (Al Wakrah).

The European Football Association (UEFA) invited the Qatar Football Association to participate in the first team's European qualifiers for the World Cup (Qatar 2022), in a move that reflects the position of Qatar on the international sports stage.
