Brazil qualified for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ following a 1-0 victory over Colombia on Friday, 12 November 2021 in Matchday 13 of the South America qualifiers. Lucas Paqueta scored the winning goal for Brazil in the 72nd minute.
Brazil raised their tally to 34 points on top of the qualifiers table. Colombia remained in the fifth spot with 16 points.
The top four position in the South American qualifiers advance directly to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. The fifth-place team in South American qualifiers goes into an intercontinental playoff for a World Cup spot.
