PLEASE NOTE:
Why not spend a day at Katara Beach and soak in everything that this spacious beach has to offer. You'll find a range of water activities that are easy to access and quite affordable. You can rent beach equipment and avail the services that include knee-boarding, water skiing, parasailing, jet-skiing, speed boat rides, Gondola rides and more.
At Katara Beach, you'll find some awesome adrenaline-pumping activities that you may not have tried before like parasailing. It's a thrilling activity and a must-try for those who want to get a bird's eye view from above. You'll be strapped with a parachute and 'sail' in the sky as a motorboat pulls you along. You may go as high as 600 ft and 'sail' for a maximum of 10 minutes checking out the blue water around Katara.
Have you ever tried kneeboarding, water skiing or jet skiing in Qatar's waters? If you haven't, maybe now's a good time to try something new and exciting. You can rent the equipment from the shack and head on out in the clear blue waters for some water-iffic fun!
That's not the end of the motorised water activities at Katara Beach! Why not go on a boat or a catamaran and make some memories. The boat can hold a maximum of six people and the catamaran can hold up to 10 people.
Every day from 4 pm to 10 pm at Gate 12, you can experience a boat ride in the famous Italian Gondola. Although you won't be cruising down the Venetian canals, be sure that a boat ride on the waters of Katara will be equally relaxing and adventurous.
You can also rent a sea pedal boat which will hold a maximum of four persons, a kayak or a canoe at Katara Beach. There's a shack right in the middle of the beach where you will find all this equipment and more.
Katara has slashed prices for all of its marine sports and activities by 50% with entrance fees to the beach being QR 10 for adults and free of charge for persons under 18 years old. Any person using any marine sports and activities of the beach can also enjoy the beach services (umbrellas & chairs) for free.
Disclaimer: Prices as of 12 June 2021, do call before visiting.
When the children need a break from swimming, splashing around in the water, or building sandcastles, there's a large dedicated play area where they can use the different equipment to have some fun. There's plenty for them to do and stay busy.
One of the best things about being at Katara Beach is that there are plenty of things to nibble on or have a full-fledged meal.
