The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has recently announced that residents of GCC countries, such as Qatar, are now eligible to apply for an eVisa to visit Saudi Arabia. With the added place to see and visit, many residents of Qatar have been excited about the news!
In this article, the ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team takes you through a step-by-step process on how to apply for an eVisa if you're a resident of Qatar.
The eVisa is automatically valid for 1 year and is a multiple-entry visa.
The duration of stay for the visa holders is for 90 days.
This visa will also allow you to perform Umrah.
GCC residents with any passport/nationality can apply for an eVisa
Remember to save your application, as the platform might log you out after some time if you're inactive.
Should your application be rejected, the fees are non-refundable.
Requirements
Below are the following requirements to apply for an eVisa to Saudi Arabia:
Residency visa from one of the GCC countries with a validity of at least 3 months.
Valid passport for at least 6 months.
Eligible occupation as listed on Saudi Arabia's portal.
For children under 18, the parent is required to apply first.
Health insurance (can be applied through the eVisa application platform).
Recent passport-sized photo with white background, taken in formal/modest clothing.
Eligible Occupations
As per Visit Saudi, there are specific occupations that are eligible for the GCC residents' eVisa. Find out if your occupation is part of their list HERE.
Take note that if you are applying for your spouse, children, or any other first-degree relatives that are unemployed, you must input the same occupation you used for yourself.
Fees
The visa fee for the Saudi Arabia eVisa costs QR 290.67 (USD 79.83). However, health insurance is also required and costs additional.
Apart from this, the following costs apply per visa application:
Electronic Visa Processing Fee - QR 36.41 or USD 10
Banking Service Fee - QR 1.82 or USD 0.5
How to apply

Visit Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs website and create an account.
You will receive an email from the ministry for you to activate your account.

Once activated, you may log in to the visa application portal.
Click on "Add A New Application".

Thoroughly read the Online e-Payment Services Agreement.
Click "Agree".

Thoroughly read the agreement for the visa application.

After you've agreed to the ministry's terms, you may begin filling out the Visa Application form.
For "Saudi Mission in" option, you may choose "Doha".
If travelling by land, you may choose "Dammam" or "Dhahran" as your port of entry.

When applying for an eVisa, tick the residence visa option after choosing your nationality and upload the necessary documents as required by the platform.
Once done, the next page will require general information about you for insurance purposes.
After this, the platform will provide you with a list of insurance companies that are available along with their respective fees.
Select the insurance company you prefer and proceed to payment.
Pay the necessary fees and wait for your eVisa to be delivered to your email.
Free eVisa for Hayya Card holders
Hayya Cardholders can apply for an eVisa for free at the eVisa online platform as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 13 October 2022.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia previously announced that it will welcome Hayya Cardholders into the country for up to 60 days and will approve the entry 10 days before the start of the World Cup.
