The Crescent Park in Lusail is one of the newer parks in Qatar. It opened up in March 2019, and is truly an oasis in the middle of a concrete jungle that offers respite and relaxation from daily routines. The park's design is inspired by the desert and its sand dunes; it's been built on the concept of sustainability with recycled water being used to irrigate the well-manicured green areas so you can enjoy nature even while in the midst of Lusail City's urban development. It's quite the view, and there are stairs on both sides of the beautiful steel structure so you can go up and come down. The viewing space at the top can accommodate a little over a 100 people, and offers a breathtaking view of the park and the surrounding areas.
One of the best things about this park is that there is plenty of seating available around the different areas of the park where you can sit, relax and absorb the nature that's all around you.

The children's play area is made up of a huge red crab that you can climb all over, and a bunch of wood pieces that are also ideal to climb over and under. Then, there's a big wooden boat that's connected to a building that looks like the Fanar Tower near Souq Waqif. There are slides attached to both these structures and lots of imaginative ways to use all the different things here. The kids will love it, and so will you.
Note: At present, the play area is closed till further notice as a COVID-19 precautionary measure.
