Al Shamal park is one of the large parks that established to meet the recreational needs of the inhabitants of Al Shamal(North) city and the rest of the population of the State of Qatar and as a touristic attraction due to the calm and the nice climate of Al Shamal(North) city.

Dedicated only to women and children

Department of Public Parks and Al Shamal Municipality announce that the Alshamal Park is allocated to women and children under 12 years and the entry to playgrounds is restricted to children under 15 only, at the request of the member of the Central Municipal Counsel from Alshamal area.

Location

The Park is located at the entrance of Al Shamal(North) city beside the building of the municipality. The Park was established in on an area of56,000 m2. The main entrance of the park is located on Al Shamal(North) Road.

Memorial and the water component

When entering the park we can see a beautiful memorial contains a beautiful waterfall which increases its beauty and gives a nice feeling to visitors.

Component of plant

The large size of the park indicates the great diversity and number of cultivated plants as we can see the high eucalyptus trees, Alkazhoarina and the Arab acacia which distinguishes the old gardens and parks built in the State of Qatar in addition to the fruitful palm trees, Al Neem, some types of Alvix, many types of Al Seyag plants and various ornamental plants that give the park beauty and elegance.

Restaurants and cafeterias

The park contains a large restaurant located opposite to the entrance of the park also there is a cafeteria provides with the restaurant some appropriate services for visitors

Children's play areas:

The garden has a number of children playing areas distributed throughout the garden and provided with a range of safe and entertaining games for children.
