Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is Qatar's primary healthcare provider. In order to receive treatment from Hamad Hospital, both citizens and residents must first apply for a Hamad Health Card. They can also renew it easily in a few simple steps both offline and online. Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) enables individuals, both citizens and residents, to renew their health cards and those of their family members. Here are the stepwise instructions.

How to renew your health card offline?

The first step is to go to any HMC facility or a health centre affiliated with the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC).
The next step is to submit the below documents:

For Qatari Adults: Copy of valid QID or passport, and a passport-size photo
For Qatari Children: QID number and Hamad Health Card
For a GCC National (Adult): Copy of QID with Qatar personal identity number and old Hamad Health Card
For a GCC National (Child): Copy of QID with Qatar personal identity number and old Hamad Health Card
For Adult Residents: QID with a valid residence permit and Hamad Health Card
For Residents Who Are Children: QID with a valid residence permit, old Hamad Health Card and original QID of sponsor
For Domestic Staff: QID with a valid residence permit, Hamad Health Card and original QID of the sponsor

The final step is to pay the appropriate fees.

How to renew your health card online?

The first step is to go to the online portal.
The second step involves filling out the online form by entering all the information.
The third step is to enter your QID number and select “Renew (Update Expiry Date)” in the “Information” page.

Next, click on “Number of Required Years” to renew the card and enter telephone number.
You can now enter your email if you select “Yes” to receive the receipt voucher by email.
Or enter your cell phone number if you select “Yes” to receive SMS notification.

Click on “Next” to go to the “Payment Details” page, then click on “Pay”.
The final step is to pay the appropriate fees and submit your application.

Fees

The fees applicable for this service depends on the type of applicant and are as follows:

For Qatari adults and children: QR 50
For GCC nationals, whether adults or children: QR 50
For Residents, whether adults or children: QR 100
For Domestic staff: QR 50

Additional Information

Your Hamad Health Cards can be renewed 24/7 online or by visiting either the cashier counter of an HMC facility or your nearest PHCC centre to you, during the morning working hours.
