If you look around Qatar, buildings, residential homes, commercial spots, and the like have blue plates on their external walls. This blue plate indicates the address of these infrastructures. The blue plate comprises the building or house number, street number, and zone number in English and Arabic.

The blue plate or address plate is your address and is the basis for many things, from emergency concerns to even deliveries. However, there are cases where the blue plate is not yet installed in some buildings or houses. If that's the situation you're in, don't fret! It's relatively easy to get it installed.

Request online

As per Hukoomi, you can ask for a "My Address" installation online through either the Ministry of Municipality's website or the Oun App.

Online form

To process your request through the Ministry of Municipality's website, follow these instructions:

• Fill out the online form, entering all the required information.
• Enter requester information (such as name, mobile number, Qatar ID number.)
• Enter nearest address details (if any) or location coordinates or PIN number.
  • If you don't know your PIN number, you may navigate through this website to find it.
  • If you don't know your address, here are some tips.
• Click on “Start Workflow”.

Online App

To process your request through the Oun App, the Ministry of Municipality's online app, follow these instructions:

• Open your Oun App and log in (if it does not automatically log you in).
• Select "All Services".
• Scroll to find "My Address Plate" and select it.
• Fill out the form and enter all necessary details.
• Submit for request.

Request offline

Aside from processing the request online, you can also do this by:

• Contacting the Call Center at 184.
• Visiting the headquarters of the Centre for Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

• There are no fees required for this service as per Hukoomi.
