Now that the weather is cooler, it's time to work on your outdoor garden and sow those seeds. Don't have space outside? Then indoor gardening is for you. But aside from plants, you'll find that you'd need to purchase other things to get started on your gardening journey such as different potting medium, fertilizer, pesticides, gardening tools, pots, and more.

We compiled a list of places where you can purchase or look for the gardening supplies you want and will suit your needs in Qatar.

Plant nurseries

There's no shortage of plant nurseries in Qatar. Although most of the plant nursery shops are located in Doha, those in other municipalities also have their fair share of them.

For those living in Doha, there are lots of plant nurseries you can find near Wholesale Market street and Salwa Road in Abu Hamour area like Plaza Hollandi, Floranza, Landmasters, Paradise Flowers, and Mashtal Alhadaf. Other popular ones also include Orbee Plants in Al Thumama and The Garden Centre in Najma.

There's Desert Group in Al Khor, Floranza International Nursery has other branches in Al Wakra and Leabaib.

You can find almost everything you need for indoor and outdoor gardening in plant nurseries.

Supermarkets/hypermarkets

The big supermarkets and hypermarkets such as Lulu Hypermarket, Al Meera, Spar, and Carrefour usually have a dedicated plant section and a gardening section where you can buy plants, seeds, pots, potting soil, fertilizers, hydro pellets, gardening tools like a rake, shovel, watering hose, and watering can.

Home shops

Did you know that there are also real plants sold at IKEA and Ace Hardware? There are also a lot of gardening supplies you can purchase at these two stoors to bring your garden to life. IKEA also sells trellis, plant stands, watering sensor, greenhouse, and stylish watering cans.

Daiso, Dollar Plus, and Al Shaheen also have a limited assortment of products you can use in your indoor garden like pots and plant stands.

The recently opened Torba Store has a garden centre which includes gardening tools, pots, neem oil, epsom salt, biopots, peat moss, perlite, indoor and outdoor plants, as well as seeds and seedlings of edible plants.

Don't have the time to visit a plant nursery? You can buy your gardening supplies direct from their online stores/websites.

Torba Farmers Market also has an online store that you can easily browse and shop.

Onomoo sells agro-products on its website. Some of the items you can find are grow lights, grow bags, self-watering pots, coco disks, seed starter tray, digital soil tester (pH, moisture, temperature, sunlight) and a windowsill garden.
