Looking for a shop in Qatar where you can buy eco-friendly items, plant-based food and items, local products, and gardening supplies? Torba Store has all of that and more!
Torba Store, a new venture by the beloved Torba Farmers Market's organizers, was launched at the end of August 2020. Community members can visit all year round and shop from local small businesses. We visited Torba Store to show you some of the things you can check out!
Aside from Torba's own products, the grocery, bakery, and deli section also displays products from Qatar's local and small businesses. Some of the things you can find:
Local as well as organic produce from farms in Qatar are also available inside Torba Store.
Two coffee brands you can here are Honoroast and Nature’s Treasures, both of which roasts their coffee beans here in Qatar. Nature’s Treasures offers Ethiopian coffee, while Honoroast has coffee from different parts of the world such as Colombia, El Salvador, and Ethiopia.
You can find gluten-free, vegan tortilla chips from Exhale, which you can pair with the homemade traditional salsa from La Queena.
There are also activated nuts, dried herbs, organic sourdough bread, kombucha, raw milk, a variety of nut butter, Sit Beit's ready-to-cook meals, cold-pressed juices, wellness shots, handmade chocolates, vegan yogurt, and more!
Some of the products made/produced by Torba are fermented cucumbers, sauerkraut, in-house fresh bread (bread buns and whole wheat loaf), lime curd, olive tapenade, pesto, tahini, tomato soup, butternut soup, Sidr honey, different kinds of nut butter and more.
Tired and hungry from shopping and looking around? No need to worry because you can dine-in at Torba Store. Coffee lovers can choose from espresso, flat white, latte, or americano and choose between raw milk or alternative milk. There's a daily menu to choose from, which includes dishes such as scrambled eggs, porridge bowl, avo sourdough, banana pancakes, quinoa salad, cold soba noodle salad, buckwheat fettuccine, pizza, wonton ramen soup, and more. You can also order these to go.
There's even a buffet on Fridays and Saturdays.
Want to support the planet by using chemical-free and zero waste products? The Torba Eco section is where you can find what you need to start.
There's handmade soaps, cleaning materials with all-natural ingredients such as dishwashing liquid, veggie cleaner, multipurpose cleaning liquid, and Castille soap. You can bring your empty bottle and refill it at the store with your cleaning liquid of choice.
There are also eco-friendly items such as toothbrushes, reusable cotton pads, cleaning accessories, reusable dental floss, and a variety of beeswax wraps.
Essential oils, hydrosols, shea butter, Qatari clay body lotion, and Sidr face mask are just some of the items you can find in the store's apothecary section. The products are handmade in Qatar!
Torba Garden is a one-stop-shop for all you plant lovers out there and those who want to start on your plant journey. Tucked away at the back of Torba Store, the Garden Centre not only displays all your plant needs (seeds, plants, pots, gardening tools, natural fertilizers, etc.), but there are also tables and chairs where you and your kids can sit and hang out. This space is also the venue for Torba's workshops and events.
Torba Store's products are available at the Torba Farmers Market and through their online store. They deliver to most of Doha and Al Khor, Al Wukair, Al Wakra, and Mesaieed. Orders can be paid via debit card, credit card, or cash/card upon delivery. You can also pick up your orders at the Torba Store.
