According to the update on the new travel and return policy announced by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on 13 July 2021, it is mandatory for all visitors to Qatar to register via the Ehteraz platform, and optional for Qatar's citizens and residents.
The ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team has listed down the steps to register and get a travel authorization permit. Click here to find out how to pre-register on the Ehteraz website before traveling to Qatar.
According to Hukoomi, an Exceptional Entry Permit (EEP) is a temporary service that is provided to residents of Qatar who are unable to return to the country because of the restrictions imposed due to the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). This service allows employers, whether individuals or companies, government or private sector, to apply for an entry permit for residents and their family members holding QIDs to enable them to return to the State of Qatar.
Residents who are currently in the State of Qatar and wish to travel and return will automatically receive an exceptional entry permit upon departure.
1. Go to the Ministry of Interior website here: https://portal.moi.gov.qa/wps/portal/MOIInternet/MOIHome
2. Click on 'Inquiries'.
3. The next step is to click on 'Exit & Entry Permits'.
4. Now click on 'Print Exceptional Return Permit'.
5. The last step is to fill in your QID number and residency expiry date, then submit the form. Now you can print the permit.
