Also known as Autogyro or gyrocopter, this small aircraft looks like a combination of a helicopter and an airplane but its "engine powers a back propeller that pushes the gyrocopter forward. As the aircraft moves, air passes naturally through its rotor blades, creating lift", according to wtsp.
This thrilling experience is also available in Qatar. Asfary offers a Gyrocopter Tour in the north of Qatar while Qatar Flying Club offers sightseeing around Qatar. 365 Adventures also offers a Gyrocopter Tour of Qatar's mangrove forests aside from their Piper Archer aircraft.
Explore the desert and sea at Sealine and Inland Sea from 500 feet or 1,000 feet up in the air with Paratrike Air Tours! We're sure you've heard of paragliding, but what is paratriking? A paratrike is basically a powered paraglider. The paratrike has three wheels, with a big propeller and a motor at the back. You don't need prior experience to ride because the paratrike is operated by professional pilots.
You can choose from a 20-minute session (up to 500 feet) over Sealine or a 45 minutes VIP air tour (up to 1,000 feet) over Sealine beach and Khor Al Udaid.
Whether you want to view the city from above or want to celebrate a special occasion, a helicopter ride will surely be unforgettable.
Qatar International Tours provides a 35-minute tour of Doha wherein you can see the popular landmarks aboard a helicopter. QIT uses GHC helicopters (Bell206L3) which can take up to 4 passengers. Helicopter rides are available on Fridays & Saturdays (subject to availability).

Asfary also offers a 60-minute flight (from take-off to landing) in a light aircraft where you'll be able to fly over the following areas: North of Qatar, Education City, Aspire Zone, The Torch, Khalifa Stadium, Al Thumama, Old Airport, and Najma. You can book a flight for just yourself or with family and friends (up to 3 passengers).
365 Adventures offers an aerial tour of the mangrove forests at Al Thakira. You'll have a bird's eye view of this natural wonder aboard a Piper Archer aircraft. The 30-minute flight will also give you a scenic view of Purple Island and Al Bayt Stadium from above. Only 15 years old and above are allowed on this flight.
Did you know that you can ride a hot air balloon in Qatar? Sunrise hot air balloon ride and private hot air balloon ride is offered by Asfary. The ride lasts for 45 minutes and depends on the weather and season.
Children under 8 yrs old are not allowed and those under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult (child should be over 4'6" tall).
