Doha, February 1, 2009 – The competitions of round one of 2009 Qatar International Cycling Tour – men, taking place from February 1 - 10 are due to be kicked off in Doha on Sunday.
The seven – day Tour, will feature the participation of 17 countries, including, hosts, Qatar, France, USA, Switzerland, Russia, Australia, Italy, Japan, Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany (represented by 11 teams, each team has two cyclists).
HE Sheikh Khalid Bin Ali Al Thani, president of Qatar Cycling Federation, QCF has confirmed in a press conference held at Ritz Carleton on Saturday that QCF have completed all administrative and technical arrangements to host the event on Sunday.
