Organisers have announced that registration is now open for the third Dolphin Energy Doha Dash, which is set to take place on 10 February 2015 and this year is going to be bigger and better than ever.

The Dolphin Energy Doha Dash is firmly established as one of the most popular events to be held as part of Qatar National Sport Day with thousands of participants taking part each year. Organisers expect up to 3,000 runners to participate in the 2015 event, making it the biggest yet. The event will once again be held at the world famous MotoGP circuit at Losail.

In anticipation of the expected increase in participants, the organisers have teamed up with GOSports to introduce a new registration and race pack distribution process. As well as being official sponsor of the 3km race, GoSports will host the race pack collection at their store in Villagio Mall prior to the event with the timings to be announced shortly. In the meantime, registrations can be made by visiting www.dohadash.com.
The Dolphin Energy Doha Dash offers something for everyone: a 5km run for participants aged 12 (100 QAR) and over; a 3km run (50QAR) for those aged 8 and above; a 1km run for children, and a 1km ladies walk (both free). The Doha Dash organisers will pledge 25% of all registration fees to the official event charity, to be announced in coming weeks.

The Race Village will be packed with fun and excitement for participants and spectators, including live music, children’s activities, have-a-go sports areas and food & beverage areas. The emphasis of the event is both about supporting the initiative of Qatar National Sport Day; leading a healthy lifestyle, while also offering a fun family day out.

The first three runners across the line in the 5km, 3km and 1km runs will receive a trophy. Participants are invited to bring their friends and family to support them and cheer them on as they cross the finish line.
Registrants and previous participants are encouraged to actively get involved on social media. The Doha Dash this year is running the #ADashof… campaign which will run until and on the day of the event. The campaign enables participants to tweet, Facebook and Instagram at the Doha Dash pages by entering a word after #ADashof alongside a picture which depicts their training regime, healthy diet or any other preparation for their Dash experience.

Ambassadors for the event, which in the past have been Samuel Francis, Qatar’s fastest man, and Samantha Murray, Olympic silver medalist pentathlete, will be announced soon.
