Qatar’s best street basketball players will get the chance to showcase their incredible skills during the inaugural Doha Jam street basketball tournament organised by Aspire Logistics.

The three-on-three tournament will take place in the Aspire Park Outdoor Courts on May 18 and 19 and will feature 16 teams of four (three on court and one substitute). Director General of Aspire Logistics Abdulaziz Al Mahmoud said: “Basketball is very popular in Qatar. We recognise that there are many players taking part in street matches and we are delighted to be able to organise an event which will allow these players to come together and demonstrate their outstanding skills.”

“Doha Jam is another one of our ongoing program of participation events that we are organising at Aspire Zone. It is part of our commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle for the people of Qatar.”

Adding to the atmosphere of the event, live music will be played as the players compete for some great prizes including iPads.

The tournament will be made available to watch anywhere in the world thanks to Aspire Zone Foundation’s IT department which will stream the matches live on the Internet. Team registration for the tournament is now open and is expected to fill fast at www.aspirezone.qa/events/dohajam.
