In a memorial to the departed souls from the fire on Monday May 28, the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra is inviting the people of Qatar to a concert at the Katara Opera House. Dmitri Shostakovich’s Tenth Symphony in particular will commemorate the victims. Alastair Willis will also conduct the orchestra in Lebanese composer Abdallah el-Masri’s Violin Concerto in its world premiere. Jorge Saade of Ecuador will be the soloist.

Tickets are being distributed without charge. Interested people can collect them at Virgin Megastore (Landmark branch) or at the door on the evening of the concert.
