Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC) is launching Speaker Series where the successful entrepreneurs, innovators, industry leaders and other inspiring speakers from worldwide and region will share their inspiring stories and advice with QBIC community.

The first Speaker Series have a very special guest from Switzerland - Elmar Mock who co-invented Swatch. This special keynote session will focus on the innovation process supported by practical examples, such as the Swatch story and what we can learn from it, the untold aspects of innovation and the contradiction between innovation and renovation.

Elmar Mock is a serial innovator and is well-known as the inventor of the original Swatch watch. He then designed Tissot’s Rockwatch before leaving the company and founding his own engineering and technical consultation company, Créaholic in Switzerland in 1986. Créaholic has completed over 600 projects for dozens of companies, created several spin-offs and generated over 150 patents in various fields. He is well-known internationally for his innovation factory concept and philosophy of innovation. Elmar Mock is also an instructor at the Institute for Entrepreneurship & Small and Medium Size Enterprises in Switzerland.
