On 10 March, students, researchers, scholars and those interested in Arab heritage joined the Library’s Manuscript Specialist, Mahmoud Zaki, for a practical workshop to learn about how to search for Arabic manuscripts and choose the right one to study. Zaki answered participants’ questions and shed light on the mechanisms, guidelines, tools and resources to find the correct manuscript
Parents and children can join the Library’s Online Storytime for Children every Monday during March (8, 15, 22 and 29). Children’s librarians will read stories and help children come up with their own original tales.
Join Bassam Adel Hamad, Occupational Therapist at Qatar Foundation Learning Center, on 17 March, to learn about child behavior challenges and sensory issues. During the insightful 90-minute session, parents and caregivers will be introduced to several types of sensory difficulties and the difference between behavioral and sensory challenges.
From 14 to 18 March, the Library, in collaboration with Studio 5/6, an information and communications technology makerspace initiative by the Ministry of Transport and Communications, will host the first Spring Camp for Technology and Digital Fabricationa under the title “Coding the Future”. During this virtual camp, which includes a series of worhsops, participants will discover a variety of new technology skills and will be introduced to the basics of robotics, machine learning, programming and 3D scanning and printing in an enjoyable and fun atmosphere.
