On view from 21-23 October 200 at IAID Visual Arts Studio is “Artworx” a collection of over 100 visual artworks from IAID Arts students. Alongside, a free arts appreciation and hands-on workshop will welcome participants starting 7 years onwards. The workshop is set on 22 October and will hold two sessions at 5:00-6:30pm and 6:40-8:00pm.

Offering a fresh look at life and art, Artworx explores key themes, relating activities of everyday life to viewer’s experiences. The works will show long months of practice and collaboration in the study of the visual arts at IAID that provided the foundation to their skills and enhanced creativity. Artworx is designed to inspire and spark possibilities that can show viewers a deep appreciation of human existence and the world.

Artworx will showcase the works of over 45 students across varying ages and nationalities. Leading the staging of Artworx is the Visual and Studio Arts Instructor Mark C. Alvarado, a professional artist, illustrator and graphic designer shares, “It is quite a challenge to present such a wide variety of artworks in this exhibit as we would like to show and maintain the playful spirit in which these artworks were made and at the same time, preserving them for ongoing and future audiences.”

Artworx ushers in IAID’s celebration of 10 years of success as an Academy of Dance, Music and Arts. IAID exhibitions continue to cover all the essentials of visual arts: painting, sculpture, drawing and printmaking, studio and decorative arts, and performance.

The Exhibition will open on 21 October, 5:00-8:00pm and continue until the 23 October from 9:00am-9:00pm.

Registration to the Free Workshop is ongoing until the 20th October 2011. Limited slots are available. Groups and interested parties can also book in advance for special gallery viewing by email at [email protected]. For more of IAID, visit www.iaidonline.org.
