‘Metro Manila’ is a thrilling crime drama which received the Audience Award at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and is the UK's submission for Foreign Language Oscar. Its screening at the Katara DFI Cinema marks the MENA premiere of this widely-acclaimed film.

Oscar Ramirez and his family leave the mountains of the Northern Philippines and move to Manila in the hope of a better life. Ideal prey in this ruthless city, Oscar unwittingly becomes embroiled in the murky criminal underworld inhabited by his new boss and is caught between wanting to do the right thing and needing to protect his family.
