The 10th annual free medical camp for low-income expatriates will be held on April 8, 2011.
The event is organized jointly by the Indian Islamic Association and the Qatar Chapter of the Indian Medical Association, with support from the Supreme Council of Health and Hamad Medical Corporation.
Organizers say this year's medical camp will have several new features to mark its 10th anniversary. In addition to free medical services, each visitor will also receive a souvenir health magazine with lots of useful information and advice.
Past medical camps show that there is a large number of low-income expatriates who suffer from illnesses such as hyperextension and diabetes. They were not able to seek proper health care due to lack of awareness, poor wages and absence of health care coverage.
