A band of five infamous Korean thieves headed by Popie (Lee Jung-Jae) receives an irresistible offer from former partner Macau Park, to steal a 20 million dollar diamond known as ‘Tear of the Sun’ from a casino. The team travels to Hong Kong where Park brought along four other Chinese thieves to complete the job. On the day of the heist, the professionals who left nothing to chance find their perfect plan quickly turn into disaster revealing that they all have their own agenda. But who will succeed and walk away with the priceless diamond? Directed by Choi Dong hoon, this star-studded heist movie is one of the top grossing Korean films of all time.

With a diverse group of characters and unpredictable story, Choi Dong-hoon is cited as the director who opened a new chapter for Korea’s crime films with spectacular action. Choi successfully debuted with well-made heist thriller ‘The Big Swindle’ in 2004 and his follow-up ‘Tazza: The High Rollers’ was the third highest grossing film of 2006. Also, 2009’s ‘WOOCHI’ was lauded as the first Korean superhero movie and showcased a character never before seen by Korean audience.
