Leaders from more than 70 countries are expected to attend Doha's 6th annual international conference on defending Jerusalem.
The two-day event is in line with Qatar's intention to support and enhance the Palestinian cause. Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the conference will bring together experts and important figures from Arab and Muslim countries.
Organizers hope the event will help draw regional and international attention to the situation in Jerusalem. A number of important topics will be tackled, including the legal status of Jerusalem, its history, and related international politics.
The conference runs from February 2 until 3, 2011 at Sheraton Hotel in the Conference Center.
