Qatar is set to host the first GCC Transport and Railways Conference, which will focus on regional infrastructure issues.

The event is organized by Qatar Railways Company in association with the General Secretariat of the GCC, Federation of GCC Chambers, Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group.

The conference will bring together more than 500 policy makers and industry leaders, including ministers of transportation, finance and public works of the GCC countries, as well as representatives of regional and international organizations, renown experts in transportation, international manufacturers and operators of railways systems, engineering and consultancy companies, contractors, financial institutions, regional and international banks and a wide spectrum of other stakeholders.
