Just one week remains until Qatar Professional Women's Network's Dream Big! Launch Event. On Tuesday, December 7, 2010, the Qatar Professional Women's Network (QPWN) will celebrate its official launch at the Après Spa Terrace at the Four Seasons Hotel. There will be an exciting line-up of guest speakers, with opening remarks being made by QPWN Founder, Christina Zini, followed by keynote speeches by Dr. Amal Al Malki, Amanda Palmer and Aisha Alfardan.

Dr. Amal Al Malki is one of Qatar's most groundbreaking columnists, holding a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of London. She is Assistant Professor of English at Carnegie Mellon University Qatar and has finished a three year research on the representations of Arab women in Arabic media which will be published in book form in 2011. Amanda Palmer, arts and culture extraordinaire, is the Executive Director of the Doha Film Institute and in 2009 turned Doha's dream of having its own Doha Tribeca Film Festival into a reality. Mrs. Aisha Alfardan is the Vice President of Alfardan Group Holding and the Vice Chairwoman for the Qatari Business Women's Association and is considered to be one of Qatar's first female business entrepreneurs.

After the speakers, the Dream BIG! essay contest winners will be announced and awarded prizes and free coaching sessions from Art of Abundant Living, Arcata Interactive Communication Coaching and Empower People.

Tickets for the launch event will cost 175 QAR and must be purchased before December 4. Tickets can be purchased from designated areas including Starfish Lane Nurseries (who can be contacted on 4411 0355 or 4487 5939 or emailed at [email protected]).

All QPWN events are women-only and are alcohol-free.
