Creative Commons Qatar will hold its first CC workshop on Wednesday, June 1 for visual artists (graphic designers, fine arts practitioners, videographers, etc.). The workshop will give an overview of Creative Commons and explain how it can be applied to the visual arts. After covering the basics, including how to share your work under CC and how to search for other CC artists and works, it will be time to remix in an engaging visual artists remixing session.
Creative Commons provides a platform for people to communicate which copyrights they reserve, and which rights they waive for the benefit of other people -- replacing the "all rights reserved" model with a more flexible "some rights reserved" philosophy.
The workshop runs from 5 to 9 pm on June 1 at VCUQatar. Those who are interested should register for the
