The upcoming ‘Cityscape Qatar 2013’, to be held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani, from Monday to Wednesday at the Doha Exhibition Centre, will reveal many international and local real estate developments and projects, a press statement said yesterday.

The three-day event will showcase an immense range of property development opportunities and infrastructure projects to investors and key industry professionals from around the globe.

Cityscape Qatar offers platform and opportunity for real estate developers to engage with different stakeholders, as the government embarks on ambitious real estate, construction and infrastructure projects. Aiming to diversify from a hydrocarbon-based economy, Qatar’s National Vision for 2030 and its successful bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2022, is set to transform the economic, cultural and physical landscape of the country.

Plans are well underway for major infrastructure developments including the Qatar Rail project, Hotels and state-of-the art stadiums that will deliver vast investment and growth in transportation, residential and commercial real estate, and build new establishments for sporting and leisure activities in Qatar.

“Cityscape is the world’s leading real estate exhibition. It is an unparalleled power-networking event where exhibitors and attendees will be part of the most important gathering of real estate leaders here to ensure their brand and projects are seen by influential stakeholders. Building on last year’s success, Cityscape Qatar 2013 will bring together key industry leaders and companies from around the globe allowing participants to see first-hand Qatar’s future and the opportunities arising from 2022 FIFA World Cup and its ambitious plans as it diversifies from a hydrocarbon-based economy to a knowledge economy,” said Deep Marwaha, Group Director, Informa Exhibition.

The event will bring together regional and international investors, asset managers and financiers; architects, urban planners and designers; real estate developers, stadium designers and professional service providers; government and regulatory officials and senior executives involved in the design and construction of public and private real estate developments.
