Translating Bio-design, an emerging design movement combines the field of science, nature and art, imitating and interacting the human body with the environment. This session will introduce us to bio-design and its implications and applications. We will briefly journey through fashion and product design, luxury, footwear and material development. In the end, we will introduce you to produce your own biomaterial. Felipe will share his experience working for renowned sustainable brands like Stella McCartney, alongside with Rabab’s experience on creating the first bioplastic Battoulah in the world.⠀
