In Brief: Nationalization has an ever-growing, ongoing challenge with every passing year. With government taking even stern steps in promoting Nationalization within their respective countries, the pressure has been mounting on businesses to meet the requirements laid down by their federal authorities. The major challenge now is to increase the ratio of Nationals in the private sector as public sector is already nearing saturation.
With the increase in the generation gaps, the demand to fill in soon to be vacant positions is making the businesses worry. In order to continue to engage Nationals in the current climate, organizations need to realise the strategic advantages of understanding the issues, tailoring expectations, gaining employee trust, leading by example and recognising and acknowledging success. And in order to nurture and guide young nationals, organisations need a structured framework to support and develop talent and to measure success.
In its 3rd successful year, Fleming Gulf’s ‘3rd Managing Local Talent’, will indulge into discussing critical issues to Nationalization by enhancing dialogue and exchange of ideas amongst industry experts on. Supported by the Ministry of Labour-Qatar in the previous two years, this year promises to explore further discreet topics and solutions to the barriers to successful Nationalization.
