The theme of the event is “Your Life is a Trust” to encourage people to take care of themselves on the road.

A number of pavilions are displaying new equipment used for the first time like Al Fazaa, which is displaying a mini car that can be used in supermarkets for security surveillance, in addition to some developed motorcycles used in traffic cases.
Also Lekhwiya pavilion has latest motorcycles which can adjust according to the temperature. They are used in parades, said First Lieutenant Nasser Khaled Al Hajri.
More than 60 public and private entities are taking part in the activities. New tents are there for the first time for big companies like Qatar Rail and other companies with big projects.
Also for the first time, an educational tent featuring 20 schools in primary, secondary and preparatory levels to provide students awareness lectures about traffic safety, in addition to a tent for artists to paint about traffic problems people face on the streets.
During the week, a number of symposiums and lectures will be organized by officials from Traffic department and experts from different entities about traffic safety, the importance of partnership to face traffic accidents and media and its role in spreading traffic awareness among society.
The activities are held from 8 am until noon and from 4pm until 9pm, except on Friday and Saturday when it will continue until 10 pm.
The logo of the traffic safety campaign features a heart which symbolises life. In the heart there lies a collage of various things like mobile, speed, social media.
The GCC Traffic Week provides a direct awareness message to all road users about traffic accidents and also opportunity for GCC traffic officials to discuss and exchange their views and experiences about traffic safety.
