Renowned singer from Pakistan Tina Sani will perform in Doha on November 22.
Sani is a versatile performer who specialises in singing Urdu Ghazals or poetry. She gained popularity in Pakistan and India by reciting the poetry of Urdu poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz, including ‘Bahaar aayi’ [Spring is here] and ‘Bol ke lab azad’ [Speak, for your lips are free].
She renders poetry of contemporary poets with complete ease and is equally at home singing works of Zauq, Ghalib and Mir Taqi Mir; the immortals of Urdu poetry.
The ambassador of Pakistan is expected to be the chief guest on the occasion. The performance is being organised by the Pakistan Professionals Forum Qatar (PPFQ) at the InterContinental hotel.
The tickets are priced at QR200 for PPFQ members and QR300 for non members, which will include dinner.
