The Qatar Foundation schools production SHOWTIME! is set to return to the stage, with performances taking place from 2-4 March 2023. Themed “Musicals at the Movies”, this year SHOWTIME! will also feature an original song by Qatari composer Dana Al Fardan titled “Now or Never”.

This year, the production is set to feature 50 students and 15 staff members from a number of Qatar Foundation Pre-University Education (PUE) schools, including Qatar Academy Doha, Qatar Academy Al Wakra, Qatar Academy Msheireb, Qatar Music Academy, Awsaj Academy, Tariq Bin Ziad School, and Qatar Academy for Science and Technology.

And alongside Al Fardan’s “Now or Never”, extracts and medleys from hit shows such as Grease, Queen, and Aladdin will be showcased in both English and Arabic.

Fatima El Mahdi, Manager of Student Enrichment, Qatar Foundation, said: “When SHOWTIME! first burst onto the scene during the years of remote and blended education, it served as a refreshing break from the long hour's students and staff were spending behind a screen.'
