In keeping with the tradition of Ramadan, Qatar Foundation will put up a Ramadan tent and a small museum at the its Recreation Centre.
Nasser Al Rumihi, Qatar Foundation’s recreational supervisor, said Qatar Foundation will put up the Ramadan tent on August 27, as well as a small museum which they will call the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim’s museum.
The museum will house a collection of Islamic art and will feature traditions in the Arab world, Al Rumihi said.
Al Rumihi said they will also put up a traffic school for children, host a football tournament for guests, and prepare dinner and traditional Arabian music.
The Qatar Foundation Recreation Center includes a mixed fitness room, ladies fitness room, studio, activity room, two squash courts, two tennis courts, outdoor basketball and volleyball courts, pitch 1 (football field), pitch 2 (for track and field), pitch 3, adventure playground, Olympic-sized swimming pool, training/splash pool, pool deck jacuzzi, FAI club, gymnastic hall, green-coloured floor multipurpose gym and a wooden-floored gym.
