If you are sighted, have you ever thought about what it would be like to be blind? Or if you are blind – have you ever wished your loved ones could know what you experience, just for a short while?

On March 27th, Oryx Rotana will bring an extraordinary event to Doha. The three-course meal, served in complete pitch-black darkness will allow you to get in touch with all of your senses as you savor the smell and taste of your dining experience. Music and conversation will become more intimate and immediate. Sensations will be stimulated. It will expand your imagination and understanding of what individuals who are blind experience throughout their lives.

In addition to giving everyone a whole new way to think about darkness, vision, and the power of perception, Oryx Rotana’s goal is to raise money in order to provide blindness-specific aids and supplies. Tickets sold from ‘from Darkness to Light’ event will “light up” the lives for a lot of children. Enabling a child to see again has a huge impact on their everyday life, their education and ultimately their future.

Oryx Rotana Doha will host "from Darkness to Light" dinner benefitting ORBIS 'saving sight worldwide' on Thursday 27th March, 2014 at 2000hrs at Jade Ballroom forQR 245 per person food only.

The Night will start with photo-shoot and a debrief of the dinner from 2000hrs to 2030hrs, the seating process will take place between 2030hrs and 2045hrs and Dinner will start at 2100hrs.
