In Memoriam: Faten Hamama
From 4 to 5 June, the Doha Film Institute and the Cultural Village Katara honour the illustrious career of the late Faten Hamama. Known as the Lady of the Arabic Screen, the talented and prolific actress was vital to the Golden Age of Egyptian Cinema. Hamama’s career spanned nearly 100 films but her reach went well beyond the screen, with a number of her roles dealing with social justice and women’s rights. Join us for this special showcase highlighting the career of a cinema legend.
